About Us

Yindyamarra Walan means "Honor and Respect with Strong Connection" in Wiradjuri. Founded by a strong Wiradjuri and Gunai woman from Central NSW and Gippsland Victoria, our organisation addresses the unique challenges faced by First Nations people with disabilities.

Based in Karratha, we are an Aboriginal owned disability and advocacy service committed to providing culturally safe support tailored to our community's needs. We aim to build a strong team that empowers individuals to achieve their personal goals through holistic practices and collaboration with service providers.

Our advocacy emphasises self determination and family-led solutions, ensuring First Nations people are at the centre of their decision making. Yindyamarra Walan welcomes First Nations individuals interested in supporting our community and offers consultation to organisations looking to implement best practices for First Nations people with disabilities in the Pilbara.
